Rick Davidson CEO of Cairn Real Estate Holdings, LLC

CEO

Rick Davidson

Rick is most comfortable clipped in with a rope team headed to the summit of a high-altitude glaciated peak. It’s not about the adrenaline rush, in fact quite the opposite.  Alpine mountaineering is about the physical and mental challenge of the climb. Team is everything when it matters most, and every team member understands the commitment and their contribution in getting to the summit. One wins and all win!

Having a clear understanding of the objective and aligning the team behind that objective is critical in moving an organization forward. Whether it’s a company-wide initiative or a single client objective, unity of the team is paramount.

As the former Global CEO of Century 21 Real Estate, Rick led an organization of 8,000 offices and 125,000 sales professionals across 80 countries. He was previously the President and Chief Operating Officer for Coldwell Banker Commercial and Coldwell Banker Real Estate, both multi-national corporations. Galvanizing an organization around a single vision is no small task. Clear, concise, and consistent communication at every level of the organization is necessary, and every team member must understand the critical nature of their involvement.

Doing good and always doing “what’s right” are values to live by. Rick led Easterseals, a $2B+ charitable organization focused on people with disabilities, as their national Chairman and board member for over 8 years. Whether he’s helping determine strategy, raising funds or directly involved in mentoring individual kids through Big Brothers Big Sisters, his passion is to give back through community-based organizations.

With a bachelor’s in business and a Doctorate of Humane Letters from National Louis University, he understands the importance of higher education. Rick lives in Utah with his wife Tina and their faithful Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Cabot. You will find them hiking in the mountains, on a trout stream with a fly rod, or riding the winding back roads on their motorcycle. Outdoor life is good!
